What is InsureClause?
InsureClause is insurance decision support for commercial agreements. It provides two separate workflows: review insurance in an agreement, or understand and compare supplied insurance evidence.
Does InsureClause replace legal review, a broker, or an insurance professional?
No. It is decision support. Legal interpretation, policy coverage confirmation, statutory confirmation, and specialist advice remain human responsibilities.
Are the public examples the only agreements or insurance issues it can address?
No. The public workflows are representative examples. The approach is designed to adapt to a broader range of commercial agreement and insurance decision contexts.
Why does the workflow ask questions instead of always giving an answer?
The right insurance request depends on what the parties do, who could cause a loss and who must carry insurance. A question about data access, site work or a proposed change may alter the recommendation. A familiar policy name or limit alone does not answer those questions.
Turn wording into a next action
Review an agreement
Do I need company standards before I can review an agreement?
No. You can review an agreement immediately. Company Standards is a separate area for reusable organization positions; an administrator can prepare and approve those positions later.
What if there is no insurance clause or company standard?
Start with the work, the parties’ responsibilities and the losses the engagement could cause. Leave the insurance wording empty when no clause was provided. The review can identify relevant insurance questions and help prepare starting wording once the necessary facts are confirmed. Proposed requirements are not existing contract obligations, and your organization must decide what to request.
What should we check when a customer asks us to carry insurance?
Review the full request: insurance types, limits, insured parties, duration and other terms. Compare it with the services you provide, possible losses and your standard position. Confirm what your insurance can provide with the appropriate insurance reviewer. If the request needs to change, explain why and propose suitable wording before agreeing.
What if a supplier pushes back on our insurance requirements?
Ask which requirements the supplier wants to change and why. Recheck whether your request fits the supplier’s work and potential losses. Ask for supporting evidence or an explanation of unavailable protection, then consider alternatives. If a shortfall remains, your authorized business decision maker must decide whether to accept that risk and record the rationale through your organization’s approval process.
Can InsureClause compare older agreement wording with an updated position?
Yes. InsureClause can compare insurance wording in an executed or older agreement with updated wording, a proposed replacement agreement, or the organization’s current approved contract position. It can identify retained terms, changed requirements, apparent gaps, and items that need a negotiation or approval decision. An owner is shown only when one is explicitly assigned. The organization still decides whether and how to update the commercial agreement. This does not prepare an insurance policy renewal position or a broker or insurer submission.
Reuse your organization’s positions
Company standards
What is the difference between Company Standards and the Insurance Workbook?
Company Standards in the organization workspace saves the positions your team normally agrees to or asks others to meet. An administrator creates and approves those positions. Policy information can help prepare a draft, but it does not become an approved contract position by itself. The separate Insurance Workbook page is for work in the current session; download anything you need before refreshing or leaving.
Can I start a company standard from a document or picture?
Yes. An administrator can paste existing standards or policy wording, or use the available document and image controls. Check extracted text, including conditions and exceptions. When using policy information, enter the proposed contract position separately. Save Draft keeps the position and its reviewed policy excerpt; approval remains a separate step.

Saved work and downloads
Can I read earlier answers while changing an agreement?
Yes. Saved answers remain available while you edit, after a new analysis and when you reopen a saved review. An earlier answer describes the wording and facts used for that result. Analyze the changed review to get a current answer.
When is my agreement work saved?
Agreement drafts can save automatically as you work. Extracted or pasted agreement wording is saved only after you confirm authority to use that wording; Save Draft and Analyze Review also save the draft. Check the draft status before leaving. Evidence comparisons use a separate, explicit save action when available.
What files can I download?
Word reviews support proposed wording and comments. Excel summaries support tracking, decision history and the next action. Each download is a separate working file and does not change the source agreement.
Separate document facts from confirmation
Insurance evidence
What can InsureClause show from a certificate of insurance?
InsureClause can report what a certificate, broker letter, policy excerpt, email or image states about parties, insurance types, limits, dates and other terms. It can explain the evidence alone or compare it with the contract requirements or insurance statement you supply. The result separates what is shown, different and not shown. A missing endorsement or detail calls for specific supporting evidence; it does not establish that the policy lacks the protection. The check does not confirm current policy status or how a claim would respond.
Does an evidence check create or change an agreement review?
No. An evidence check does not create agreement wording, redlines or an agreement decision. It remains temporary unless an available Save Evidence Version action confirms it was saved. Saved versions and evidence decision events remain separate from agreement analysis.
